Star Gazing at Lepe

An evening session of star gazing with binoculars led by Astronomer Steve Tonkin.
The session will start with a laser guided intro to the night sky with an overview of the constellations and astronomical objects that as visible, or may be visible throughout the evening. Steve will then give an introduction to using binoculars to enhance star gazing, and give tips and tricks on how to spot regions of the Milky Way. There will be the opportunity to observe Saturn through a telescope, as well as using astronomical binoculars to observe dark sky objects. Steve will be answering your questions throughout the session, and will give advice on how you can continue to star gaze at home.
What does the price cover?
The price of your ticket covers a fully led session, parking and a hot drink.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Due to the nature of the event, if the weather is bad, we will cancel and fully refund your ticket.
Pre-booking is essential; minimal spaces available.
This is an outdoor evening event so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. We will be using areas of the park with minimal light pollution so be prepared to be moving around the country park in darkness.
