Danny Mellor - Undermined
Sunday 25 January 2026
19:30 to 21:30
Set during the 1984 Miners’ Strike and inspired by accounts of those who were there, Undermined is a gritty, witty and powerful show by Danny Mellor (Love Riot, Miracle Theatre). Meet Dale, his mates and a whole cast of characters as we follow this year long dispute in a play which is relevant for those who know nothing about the strike, and those who remember it all too well. With one pint, one chair, one actor and a classic soundtrack, experience pints in the pub and punches on the picket line. Touring for over 10 years to theatres, pubs and even Scottish Parliament, this fast-paced show will have you laughing, crying and shaking with anger.
“Undermined is quite simply the best example of theatre telling a political story without labouring the point.” Donald Stewart, Fringe Review
★★★★ “a strongly-performed show with a sense of thoroughness and accuracy here, a piece which is partisan but passionate” David Pollock, The Scotsman
Recommended for ages 14+ (swearing, mild sexual references, mention of death of a child)
