The Waterside Health and Wellbeing Team can support patients registered with the Red and Green Practice, Waterfront and Solent Surgery and Forestside Practice.
We are here to support the health and wellbeing of patients on the Waterside - we can help you make positive and lasting changes to your health with a personalised approach.
We cover various aspects of health, including sleep, wellbeing, physical activity, healthy eating and lifestyle choices. We aim to encourage you every step of the way, teaching you the tools and techniques to last a lifetime.
Everyone is different and that's why our service is flexible. Learn about healthy living, join a group programme, get access to resources, or have a one-to-one session with a health coach. We are here to support you on your journey to a happier, healthier you through free advice and coaching.

Our role is to help and support you in a relaxing, non-clinical environment, surrounded by people who have experience of a cancer diagnosis themselves or someone close to them. Anyone from the Wessex area is welcome to visit the centre and it’s important to us you that feel at ease at Waterside. We offer a range of support for those affected by cancer, from drop-in sessions with our support volunteers to individual counselling and complimentary therapies, including massage.
Drops ins: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 10am – 1pm, Tuesday: 10am – 3pm (no appointment necesseary)
Bookable sessions include Art with Julie, MENTalk, walking groups, weekly Zoom meetings, complementary therapies.
Waterside Health Walks
Everyone is welcome to come along and join in any of the free walks in the local area, including the coast and the New Forest. They are usually every Monday and Thursday at 2pm and are typically 2 miles. For more information, contact Mike Roberts on: 02380 847461 or 07811 361319.

The Coates Centre (Oakhaven Hospice) Wellbeing support & activities - Oakhaven Wellbeing at Oakhaven Hospice
Oakhaven Wellbeing is based at the Coates Centre, in the grounds of Oakhaven Hospice. We offer a wide range of drop-in sessions, courses, information events and social activities to help and support you. Most of our services are provided free of charge, although donations to Oakhaven Hospice are appreciated. See the website for calendar of activities and events.

A place where people can gather to share skills, share enthusiasm and enjoy creating projects - or just come for a coffee and a chat. Work on your own, or on group projects such as woodworking and DIY. The workshop is open on: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am until 4pm.
Membership £12 per annum plus £2 each visit which includes free tea or coffee. Training will be arranged for members wishing to operate certain machine tools. Members please talk to the Workshop Manager to arrange this. Call in for free to learn about our friendly group.

The Hythe Shed (at the pier) is an area where men (and women) can meet to mend, repair and socialise over a cup of tea or coffee, and to pass on knowledge and skills.
The Hythe Shed is open to all to apply by invitation for membership. The main aims of the shed are;
- To help with the repair and restoration of the pier, train and carriages where skills to do so are available on an ongoing basis.
- To mend, repair or make their own project, without pressure, and to socialise in a friendly environment over tea, coffee and biscuits.
