This is a community-wide garage sale event on Saturday 19th October - if you live in Langley and would like to host a garage sale, please register your name and address with us: langleyhubnewforest@gmail.com . We will then add your address to our garage sale map so that your prospective buyers know where you are. You need to register by 12 noon on Thursday 17th October.
Some top tips for a successful sale:
- you don't need to have a garage to take part! If you have items to sell then a table or groundsheet to display your items on your driveway or front garden is fine
- be considerate to your neighbours, especially if you have a shared driveway and make sure the pavements are kept clear
- a small cash float to give change to your buyers is useful
- you might want to decide in advance how much you want to sell your items for, and whether you would accept a lower offer
- think about joining up with your neighbours for a group sale
- once the sale is over, make sure any unsold items are not left out. You could consider donating unsold items to charity.
