Consultation on Proposals for Local Government Reorganisation

11th January deadline to have your say!!

11th January is the deadline to submit your thoughts on the proposed options for local government reorganisation across Hampshire, Southampton, Portsmouth and the IOW.

'Option 1' : New Forest District Council supports this option, which keeps all the New Forest parishes together (i.e. no boundary changes) as part of a new Mid Hampshire authority, along with East Hampshire, Test Valley and Winchester.

'Option 1A'  splits the New Forest, with Fawley, Hythe & Dibden, Totton & Eling and Marchwood as part of South West Hampshire authority, along with Eastleigh, Southampton and parts of Test Valley, Winchester and East Hampshire.

'Option 2' keeps the New Forest whole (as Option 1), but as part of South West Hampshire authority, along with Eastleigh and Southampton.
