In collaboration with Culture in Common's New Forest Acting Up Programme, the Langley Hub is proud to host Swing From Paris. This all-string quartet take inspiration from the music of the 1930s, 40s and 50s, with their Parisian flavoured jazz and gypsy swing.
Performing on violin, guitars and double bass, the quartet play a range of popular swing classics inspired by Gershwin, Edith Piaf, Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli and the master of tango, Astor Piazzolla, amongst others. Expect a variety of repertoire, interspersed with humour, storytelling and historical context, helping audiences to further appreciate the music.
